Those Involved
The main two powers involved were the Unites States and the Soviet Union. However, these countries brought along many of their allies, in reality, almost every single country on the Earth was involved in the War. Here are a list of many of the country's key allies.
American Allies
The US was allies with much of the Americas: Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Venezuela, Argentina, etc. The US also had diplomatic relations with Western Europe. Many of their key allies were in Europe: United Kingdom (Great Britain), France, West Germany, Italy, Turkey, Denmark, etc. Other miscellaneous allies were: Australia, Japan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, and Congo.
Soviet Allies
The Russians were allies with, on the contrary, Eastern Europe: Poland, Romania, Ukraine, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Belarus, and so on. They were allies with much of the African and Arabian nations: Iraq, Syria, Algeria, Libya, Mali, Madagascar, Ethiopia, etc. Other miscellaneous allies were: North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, Mongolia, and Laos.

No End in Sight
1947-1991 are commonly agreed on dates for the length of the Cold War. This makes it lasting around 44 years, or half a century. The Cold War started after the end of World War II and ended at the collapse of the Soviet Union.
